hi everyone and welcome to my blog! i'm so excited that this is finally going live (again) and that you want to be apart of this experience with me! in 2020, my goal was to start a blog, but i felt like i had to choose a topic and stick to it. the problem with that was that there was so much i wanted to talk about on my blog, and i couldn't figure out how to make it all fit in the modern world of blogging, influencing, and content creating. this time around, rather than get overwhelmed with the possibilities, i'm just opening myself up to them all. i guess you could classify this as a lifestyle blog, but really it'll be my diary, journal, thoughts dump, and opinions on everything from fashion, politics, interior design, pets, food, travel, activism and more!
i plan to start with publishing 2 posts per month (every other week on tuesdays) just to get myself in the habit of writing, but do hope to pull that up to 2 posts per week eventually.
you may be asking yourself who still reads blogs in 2021. i just ran a quick google search and, according to this article on optinmonster.com, "77% of internet users read blogs." so, apparently a lot of people!
my goal for this blog is to get myself back into the habit of writing again. i have a larger goal I'd like to reach that requires me be in a disciplined habit of writing high quality content, and i hope to use this blog as my springboard into that realm. my secondary goal for this blog is to act as an extension of my social media. due to the powers that be, it's not always easy to be candid on social media - there's often a fear of being banned from platforms when talking about controversial topics. and while not all of the topics i want to cover on this blog are controversial, i thought it would be nice to have a space of my own where i can uncensor myself and give my opinions freely.
i think i have a lot to contribute and, again, am so happy and excited to have you on this journey with me! if you guys have anything that you'd like me to talk about, don't hesitate to leave a comment about it below. i'm always looking to educate myself on new topics.
